Terry Mattox Obtains Lease on I-44 Speedway for 2026!
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (November 17, 2025) - Racing will continue in Oklahoma City as Terry Mattox has obtained the lease on I-44 Speedway for the 2026 season.
The founder and owner of the National Open Wheel 600 Series, Mattox has spent the last 13 seasons turning NOW600 into the largest micro sprint sanctioning body in the world and will now lead OKC’s home of micro sprint racing for the upcoming season.
“I am very excited to take on I-44.” exclaimed Mattox. “I-44 has so much potential to be one of the places to race and I can’t wait to work on bringing it back as a top destination.”
Racing will return to every Saturday night in 2025 with major holiday weekends off.
“Of course NOW600 will be on the schedule and we are also working with POWRi to bring back the National Midgets to Oklahoma City.” stated Mattox.
NOW600 will serve as weekly sanctioning body. For division rules and added public relations support.
Stock Non-Wing, A-Class Winged, Restricted, Turf Tire, 600cc Modifieds, Junior Sprints, and Tuners will be apart of the weekly program.
A season long points championship and banquet will also take place.
Rules and full 2026 schedule will be posted in the next few weeks.
