Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (October 20, 2022) Sometimes it's all about being in the right place, at the right time and that was the case for Lawton's Brody Brown Thursday night during the KKM Giveback Classic at Port City Raceway with the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division.

Topping the Restricted A-Feature for his second career NOW600 National score, the win is Brody's fifth on the season at Port City.

Getting to second on Lap 8, Brown spent the next seven revolutions chasing race long leader, Braxton Weger. Glued to the bottom of the track, Weger would slip a little too low in the third turn. Clipping an infield tire just wrong, the No. 31bw shot around, and in doing so, handed the lead to Brown.

Protecting the low side from there, Brown pulled to a 2.261-second advantage at the checkered flag. Cooper Williams rolled from seventh to grab second, followed by Jett Nunley from tenth to make up Thursday's podium. Chase McDougal and Lathe Griggs completed the top five.

The KKM Giveback Classic continues on Friday, October 21 with all teams back in action with the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. with cars on track at 6:00 P.M. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and youth (6-10), and Free veterans w/ID.

Port City Raceway is located at 1706 N 161st E Ave. in Tulsa, Okla. information on the facility is online at http://www.portcityraceway.net, by calling (918) 438-7856, and on Social Media at https://www.facebook.com/portcityraceway.
