Johnston and Dons Prevail in NOW600 Tel-Star Desert Region Finale at Sandia Speedway
ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (October 6, 2019) - Jacob Johnston and Cody Dons prevailed on Saturday night during the season finale for the NOW600 Tel-Star Technologies Desert Region at Sandia Speedway.
17 Stock Non-Wing and 12 Winged A-Class Micro Sprints were on hand for the final night of competition.
Jacob Johnston picked up the Winged A-Class feature event win from the seventh starting spot. Bree Franchini crossed in the second spot with Joshua Huish in third. Randy Turner finished in the fourth spot with Done Kruse fifth.
Eric Smith was sixth. Bradley Huish took the seventh spot. Nik Kelly was eighth with Jerry Campbell ninth and Christian White tenth.
Johnston and Turner won the two heat races.
In Stock Non-Wing action, Cody Dons grabbed the win from sixth. Bree Franchini from seventh took home the runner up spot. Jacob Johnston who started 16th rounded out the podium. Robert Turner took fourth with Nik Kelly fifth.
Don Kruse finished in sixth. Seventh went to Matt Chiffmanchu with Randy Turner taking the eighth spot. Bob Harrington was ninth and Christian White rounded out the top ten.
Turner, Dons and Joshua Huish won heat races.
