NOW600 Mountain West Heads for Sturgis Before Facing NOW600 Mile High in the Sagebrush Shootout

DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (August 7, 2018) - The NOW600 Mountain West Region presented by Hoosier Racing Tire is set to tackle a three night swing across South Dakota and Wyoming this weekend.

Kicking the weekend off will be a special Thursday night appearance at the Jackpine Gypsies Short Track in Sturgis, South Dakota for the Mountain West Region of the National Open Wheel 600 Series.

The Thursday Night event will kick off at 7pm and will feature the Winged A-Class and Restricted 'A' Class apart of Sturgis Bike Week.

On Friday and Saturday night the NOW600 Mile High Micro Sprints will join the NOW600 Mountain West Region at Newcastle Speedway in Newcastle, Wyoming for the 4th Annual Hyper Racing 5280 Sagebrush Shootout.

Friday night will feature the Winged A-Class while Saturday night will feature the Stock Non-Wing division. Both nights will also see the Restricted 'A' Class in competition.

There is a $4, 500 guaranteed purse for the Sagebrush Shootout as well as a raffle for one lucky person to win a race ready NOW600 A-Class car.

All three nights will be points events for the NOW600 Mountain West Region. Friday and Saturday will be non-points events for the NOW600 Mile High Micro Sprints.

Logan Hershey continues to lead the A-Class division of the Mountain West Region point standings holding a seven point lead over Doug McIntosh. Ryan Fulk is third with Martin Hansen and Wren Jacobs rounding out the top ten.

Nikko Bales leads the Restricted 'A' Class point standings.
