Hahn Handles USAC Southwest; Bayer Best POWRi West and Flud Capitalizes NOW600 during Topless at the Creek.

Terry Mattox – SAPULPA, Okla. (August 21, 2015) – Blake Hahn, Kevin Bayer and Frank Flud each earned victories at the Creek County Speedway on Thursday night during the Inaugural Topless at the Creek event featuring the USAC Southwest Sprints, Lucas Oil POWRi West Midgets and NOW600 Non-Wing Micros.

Blake Hahn picked up his first 360ci Non-Wing Sprint Car victory at the family owned track on Thursday night topping a 28 car USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series field. Hahn would started seventh on the grid would have to chase down fifth place starter, Brady Bacon. Hahn would take advantage of Bacon’s hiccup on the final lap to capture the victory. Pole setter, Ryan Bernal would come home in second after getting around Bacon on the last lap. Brady Bacon would complete the podium with a third place finish. Casey Shuman crossed in the fourth spot after starting the 30-lap feature in sixth. Andrew Deal rounded out the top five after dropping back two positions from his starting spot. Danny Smith was sixth, seventh was Koby Barksdale. Eighth place went to Alex DeCamp with Kyle Clark and Shon Deskin rounding out the top 10.

Kevin Bayer had to battle his way to victory in the Lucas Oil POWRi West Midget Series 25-lap feature event. Bayer, Andrew Felker and Matt Sherrell put on a three wide battle for the lead at the closing laps of the A-Main. Bayer would take the win with Andrew Felker crossing in second after starting eighth. Matt Sherrell rounded out the podium after advancing four spots. Pole setter, Michelle Decker crossed in fourth with current POWRi West points leader, Anton Hernandez who started sixth rounded out the top five. Blake Hahn crossed in sixth. Jason McDougal was seventh with Grady Chandler eighth. Ty Hulsey finished ninth and Hannah Adair rounded out the top 10.

Frank Flud knows his way around the Creek County Speedway and he put it to use after chasing down Steven Shebester who spun in turn two leading the field and would give the spot up to Flud. Roy Maxwell came home in second after an eighth place starting spot. Brad Best crossed in third from the pole position. Hunter Fischer finished in the fourth spot after starting third with Billy Lawhead rounded out the top five after starting second. Hard charging, Ace McCarthy was sixth, seventh went to another hard charger, Ray Barnes. Cord Dodson picked up eighth with Brian Penick and Bailey Hughes rounding out the top 10.

The Creek County Speedway will return to action on Saturday, August 22 as the Fast Five Weekly Series returns to the spot light at 7PM.
