Smith and Fischer Score NOW600 Wins, Felkins Rides Podiums to Championships
Inside Line Promotions – WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. (Sept. 7, 2014) – The NOW600 Series wrapped up the season on Sunday at West Siloam Speedway, where Bailey Felkins capitalized on a pair of podium finishes to garner the A-Class and Non-Wing championships.
Felkins finished third in both classes to maintain the points lead en route to the titles.
Joel Smith swept the A-Class event by winning his heat race and the 20-lap feature, which marked his first series win of the year. Dylan Ward placed second with Felkins in third, Curtis Jones fourth, Jason Collins fifth and Garrett Olson rounded out the field.
Smith became the sixth different winner in eight A-Class features this season.
Hunter Fischer claimed the Non-Wing heat race and the 15-lap main event. It was his second victory of the season and made him one of only two competitors with multiple wins this year.
Ward earned the runner-up position with Felkins rounding out the podium. Smith finished fourth, Jones fifth, Levi Neely sixth, Olson seventh and Collins ended eighth.
Congratulations to Felkins on the championships and to all of the drivers who have competed with the NOW600 Series this season. Plans for next season are developing.
