Norbury, Ferneau, and Cambensy Capture NOW600 Cactus Region Wins at Adobe Mountain Speedway!

GLENDALE, Ariz. (January 31, 2026) - Preston Norbury, Jayden Ferneau, and Easton Cambensy each captured wins on Saturday night during the season opener for the NOW600 Cactus Region at Adobe Mountain Speedway.
A fielding of 83 entries were on hand featuring 50-Stock Non-Wing, 20-Restricted, and 13-Junior Sprints in attendance.
NON-WING MICROS
From the moment hot laps wrapped up, it was clear that Preston Norbury (77) had speed. After topping his qualifying group with a 12.989 and dominating Heat 1, he rolled into the feature as a favorite.
The 20-lap A-Feature delivered everything—early chaos, heartbreak for front-row starter Logan Heath (14L), and a fierce mid-race battle inside the top five. But Norbury stayed untouchable out front, surviving multiple incidents behind him.
The drive of the night may belong to Jace Thurein (5), who charged from 20th to 5th, slicing through traffic in spectacular fashion.
Meanwhile, Quinn Thurein (7) battled consistently near the front to finish 2nd, and Grant Schaadt (88G) secured 3rd after strong runs all evening.
Multiple drivers made the A via the B-features, including Nick Ellenberger and Gage Korn, but tough luck eliminated several contenders mid-race.
RESTRICTED MICROS
In the Restricted class, it was Jayden Ferneau (37J) who built momentum throughout the night. After a strong qualifying run and a P3 heat finish, he came alive when it mattered most.
Starting 5th in the A-Feature, Ferneau wasted no time picking off cars, ultimately taking command and never looking back. Behind him, Landen Gansen (4G) and Bryson Sozinho (16S) staged a heated fight for podium positions, with Gansen taking 2nd after consistent speed from qualifying onward.
Attrition struck several front-runners—Brayden Jewett (14B), quick all night, fell out after leading early, and Nixen Gabbard (77) also retired from a strong position.
JUNIOR SPRINTS
In the Junior Sprints, Easton Cambensy (51) was in a league of his own.
He set the tone early, topping hot laps and winning his heat from the pole. When the A-Feature went green, Cambensy led with confidence, managing restarts and traffic to take a decisive victory.
Behind him, Luke Spring (33) put together a strong, steady night to finish 2nd, while Landen Gansen (7G)—pulling double duty—claimed 3rd after battling through tight mid-race traffic.
Incidents thinned the field late, but the front-runners kept things clean to the end.
Adobe Mountain Speedway returns to action on February 13-14 for the Dan Steffey Western States Championship.
