Nik Kelly Captures NOW600 Tel-Star Desert Region Victory at Sandia
ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (June 30, 2019) - Nik Kelly from the state of Illinois captured his first regional win with the NOW600 Tel-Star Technologies Desert Region on Saturday at the Sandia Speedway.
13 Stock Non-Wing Micros signed in for competition atop the 1/4 mile oval.
Cruising from the second starting spot, Nik Kelly went on to capture the win over Christian White. Bree Franchini grabbed the third spot from seventh. Fourth went to Caleb Stelzig with Joshua Huish bringing up the top five.
Bradley Huish crossed in the sixth spot. Seventh went to Todd Mattson. Bob Harrington finished in the eighth position with Brian Baca ninth and Robert Turner tenth.
In heat race competition it was Turner and Stelzig picking up the wins.
A two night showdown is on tab for the Desert Region of the National Open Wheel 600 Series. Friday and Saturday, July 5-6 it goes down at Fairgrounds Speedway in Cortez, Colorado.
