Arkoma Speedway Joins NOW600 Sanction in 2018

DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (May 15, 2018) - Arkoma Speedway is Oklahoma's newest and baddest 1/5 mile bullring located near the Oklahoma/Arkansas line in the small community of Arkoma.

Today, officials have announced the track will sanction it's weekly micro sprint racing under the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series banner.

"Lee Walchli and I have been in on going conversations over the past few months while he was constructing the new track." commented NOW600 Series Founder, Terry Mattox. "Arkoma is going to be a top destination in Micro Sprint racing and we (NOW600) are glad to have them under our sanctioning."

Arkoma Speedway was constructed over the past off season. It is based off the same layout as Southern Illinois Raceway.

Sanctioning under the NOW600 banner, Arkoma Speedway will be able to utilize everything NOW600 has to offer for the Micro Sprints.

Micro Sprints will debut at Arkoma Speedway this Friday night. Classes include: Restricted 'A' Class, Winged A-Class, Stock Non-Wing, Outlaw, Turf Tire and Junior Sprints.

Outlaw, Winged A-Class and Stock Non-Wing will run for $300 to win and $30 to start.

Restricted 'A' Class will compete for $200 to win and $30 to start.

Turf Tire and Junior Sprints pay out will depend on car count.

The Lucas Oil NOW600 National Series will take on the Arkoma Speedway on July 6-7.
