Roan, Pursley and Rouser Take Texas Short Track Showdown Wins at Superbowl Speedway on Opening Night of Lucas Oil NOW600 National Micro Series Show

Inside Line Promotions – GREENVILLE, Texas (March 23, 2018) – Morgan Roan, Daison Pursley and Caleb Rouser kicked off the Texas Short Track Showdown by scoring Lucas Oil NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass feature victories on Friday night at Superbowl Speedway.

Roan charged from 10th to capture the Stock Non-Wing triumph. Kobe Simpson placed second with Brad Best third and Colby Stubblefield fourth. All four are locked into Saturday’s feature. Trey Burke charged from 14th to fifth.

Simpson and Best were the heat race winners.

Pursley maneuvered from fourth to garner his first career Winged ‘A’ Class victory with the series. Jim Woods, 10th-starting Chase Brewer and 12th-starting Stubblefield secured top-four positions, respectively, to lock into Saturday’s feature. Best rounded out the top five.

Pursley and Ryder Laplante picked up heat race wins.

Rouser outlasted Laplante to capture his second career trip to Victory Lane in Restricted ‘A’ Class competition. Preston Scheulen and Ryan Timms placed third and fourth, respectively, to qualify for Saturday’s feature. Kale Drake ended fifth.

Rouser, Drake and Rees Moran each garnered a heat race triumph.

The Texas Short Track Showdown wraps up on Saturday. The pits open at 4 p.m. with the front gates opening at 5:30 p.m. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. with hot laps to follow. The pill draw will be open for one hour preceding the drivers meeting.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 7-years-old to 11-years old. Children ages 6-years-old and younger get in free.
