Lucas Oil NOW600 Adopts ASCS2 Right Rear Tire Beginning in 2018
DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (February 1, 2018) - A quick tire rule update has been amended to the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by MyRacePass rule book for the 2018.
After many discussions with Hoosier Racing Tire, it has been fully decided that for the best interest of the Lucas Oil NOW600 that we utilize the ASCS2 Hoosier Right Rear starting in 2018.
Starting today, February 1, 2018 all drivers competing with the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series on both National and Regional level must run the ASCS2 right rear.
"When we first released our rule book in November we were still sanctioned under USAC and we were making Hoosier Racing Tire mandatory on all four corners. Since that time we have decided to go on our own without another sanctioning body over us; so we have dropped the Hoosier on all four corner rule and will make the ASCS2 Right Rear the only mandatory tire that has to be ran." commented NOW600 Series Founder, Terry Mattox.
The tire rule has been updated in the NOW600 Series rules. Hoosier Tires will be available at all NOW600 National events in 2018 for those that do not have it already.
