NOW600 National Series Announces 2018 Slate
DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (December 14, 2017) - The NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass is set to embark on season six in 2018 and officials have released the tentative race schedule which will consist of 28 events across Oklahoma, North Texas, Kansas and Missouri.
"We are excited for the 2018 season." commented NOW600 Series Founder, Terry Mattox. "It is crazy to think that this is going to be our sixth season on tour. I remember when we begin in 2013 the event schedule only had four dates and to fast forward to 2018 where we are slated to compete 28 times is just unreal to me."
A trip to the Lone Star State will kick off the season for the third year in a row on February 16-17 at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas.
March 3 and 4 the National Series will make its trek back to Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Okla. followed by the 2nd Annual Creek County Clash and Inaugural Terry Walker Memorial at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. promoted by Terry Mattox on March 8-10.
A two day TBA is on the schedule for April 27 and 28.
ModsandMicros is set for Sunday, May 6 at Creek County Speedway featuring the USMTS Modifieds and NOW600 A-Class Micros.
TBJ Promotions has added the NOW600 A-Class and Non-Wing divisions to the annual "Midget Roundup" at the Airport Raceway in Garden City, Kansas on Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27. Sunday nights features will pay $1000 to win for both classes.
Sooner 600 Week returns in 2018 this year being pushed back to June 20-23 at four Oklahoma/Oklahoma border racetracks. Action will kick off on Wednesday, June 20 at Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan. followed by #TNT at Creek County Speedway on Thursday, June 21. Red Dirt Raceway will host the third leg of Oklahoma Speedweek on Friday, June 22. Saturday, June 23 is a TBA as series officials are currently talking with a few tracks to fill the void.
Arkoma Speedway near Pocola, Okla. will host the NOW600 National Series on July 6 and 7 for the Stars and Stripes Shootout. The newly constructed 1/5 mile is being based off the Southern Illinois Raceway.
After a week off the series will make its trip back down south for the "Texas Roundup" on Friday, July 20 at RPM Speedway in Crandall, Texas featuring the Restricted 'A' Class and Winged A-Class divisions then Saturday, July 21 at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville with Stock Non-Wing, Winged A-Class and Restricted 'A' Class in competition.
The North vs. South Shootout between the NOW600 National, NOW600 North Texas and the POWRi Lonestar 600's will take place on Friday, August 10 at RPM Speedway and Saturday, August 11 at Superbowl Speedway featuring the Restricted 'A' Class and a $1000 to win Non-Wing both nights.
Action picks back up in the Fall on Saturday, October 13 and Saturday, October 14 at Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Okla. for the Meeker 500 featuring the Winged A-Class and Restricted 'A' Class.
The NOW600 "Cup" race returns to Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan. during Fall Break on Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20.
The 2018 season will wrap up on Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4 at Arkoma Speedway for the Inaugural "Winter Classic."
