Inside Line Promotions – OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (May 26, 2017) – Frank Flud and Daison Pursley kicked off the Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass Sooner 600 Week by reaching the Inside Line Promotions Victory Lane on Friday night at I-44 Riverside Speedway.

Flud captured the Stock Non-Wing and Winged ‘A’ Class main events on the same night for the fifth time this season and Pursley garnered his first career Restricted ‘A’ Class win to open the speedweek, which features six races in nine nights at four different tracks.

A total of 69 entries invaded Round 1 of Sooner 600 Week, which is co-sanctioned with the Driven Midwest NOW600 Sooner Region. Flud won both a heat race and the main event in the Stock Non-Wing class, which marked his series-best 11th career triumph.

Chris Cochran charged from ninth to the runner-up finish with Hank Davis advancing from eighth to third place. Greg Emeterio Jr., who also won a heat race, placed fourth with Trey Marcham maneuvering from 12th to fifth place.

Flud powered from fifth to claim his ninth career Winged ‘A’ Class feature victory with the series. Blake Dacus placed second with Davis third, Stanley Kreisel fourth and Kaylee Bryson fifth.

Michael Edwards, Dacus and Kreisel were the heat race winners and Devin Gerrior won the B Main.

Pursley added to his points lead in the Restricted ‘A’ Class championship standings after outlasting four-time feature winner Ryder Laplante to notch the victory on Friday. Preston Scheulen rounded out the podium with Grady Mercer ending fourth and Brant Woods fifth.

Scheulen, Laplante and Dylan Pendergrass each scored a heat race win with Caleb Pence winning the B Main.

I-44 Riverside Speedway will host Round 2 of the Sooner 600 Week on Saturday evening.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and military members, $5 for teenagers, $3 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for children ages 5 and younger.

The front gates are scheduled to open at 2:30 p.m. with racing at 6:30 p.m. The drivers meeting is at 4:30 p.m. The series will hold the draw directly after the drivers meeting and it will close after the last driver present at the meeting has drawn in. If any driver is running late he or she should call Series Director Terry Mattox at 918-417-0624.
