Shebester and Laplante Score Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Wins at Wichita Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – IOWA PARK, Texas (March 3, 2017) – Steven Shebester and Ryder Laplante drove into the Inside Line Promotions Victory Lane on Friday at Wichita Speedway during the first of four Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass races at the bullring this season.

Shebester, who claimed the Stock Non-Wing championship last season, earned his sixth career triumph in the class with Laplante scoring his second straight Restricted ‘A’ Class main event win during the event that was co-sanctioned with the Driven Midwest NOW600 North Texas Region.

Shebester charged from seventh to win the first heat race and make the feature redraw. The inversion was the No. 4, but that didn’t stop Shebester from finding the lead by the end of the 20-lap main event. He took over the top spot and held off eighth-starting Johnny B. Cody Carter advanced from seventh to third place with Alison Slaton, who also captured a heat race, placing fourth and Jax Addams fifth.

Laplante won a Restricted ‘A’ Class heat race and then capitalized by starting the 20-lap main event on the pole. He led the distance and outpaced fellow heat race winner Holley Hollan for his third career series victory.

Daison Pursley rounded out the podium with Chase Randall finishing fourth and Dylan Pendergrass fifth.

The Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass will return to action next Thursday through Saturday at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., for the Creek County Clash. All three Driven Midwest NOW600 National Micro Series classes will be in action each night.
