Driven Midwest NOW600 and Caney Valley Speedway Team Up to form Sooner Region in 2017.

DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (February 8, 2017) – The Driven Midwest USAC National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by MyRacePass along with the Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kansas have joined forces to bring the Micro Sprint drivers of Southern Kansas and Northern Oklahoma a place to race in 2017 under the NOW600 banner with the Driven Midwest Sooner Region presented by Edge Grafix series.

“With the uncertainty of Port City, I wanted to give the drivers an option to be able to race close to home.” said Caney Valley Speedway promoter, Kerry Gorby. “We’ve run the micros before on a weekly basis and had decent success.”

The Driven Midwest NOW600 Sooner Region presented by Edge Grafix will feature a 17-night schedule in 2017, with the majority of events taking place at Caney Valley Speedway, plus three events at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.

“With everything going on in Northeast Oklahoma, we are wanting to make sure drivers have a place to race. I’m really looking forward to working with Kerry and his staff throughout the season. Hopefully we can build this up and have more races for teams and fans in 2018,” said NOW600 Series founder, Terry Mattox.

Drivers planning to run for points with the Driven Midwest NOW600 Sooner Region will need to purchase a NOW600 Regional Membership for $50, but is not mandatory to race in any NOW600 sanctioned event.

Drivers planning to run for points with Caney Valley Speedway must pay a $30 track registration.

USAC membership is also available for $150 and will cover both USAC and NOW600 points.

Sooner Region events at Caney Valley Speedway will pay $300 to win and $30 to start.
