Open Wheel Mayhem this Friday night at Creek County Speedway!

Terry Mattox – SAPULPA, Okla. (July 11th, 2013) – This Friday night the Open Wheel Sprint Cars of the ASCS Sooner Region and the mighty Micro Sprints of the National Open Wheel 600 Series return to Creek County Speedway for yet another “Open Wheel Mayhem” Friday night affair.

One of the most competitive and longest standing regional division of the American Sprint Car Series the ASCS Sooner Region 360 Sprint Cars will make their third and final appearance of 2013 at “The Creek.”

The American Bank of Okla. Sooner Region has visited the Creek County Speedway twice prior to this Friday’s affair. The first appearance by the Sooners was back on April 19th as one of the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real regulars Seth Bergman snagged the win taking advantage of an off weekend with the National Tour. The second appearance by the American Bank of Okla. Sooner Region was in conjunction with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real “Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek” back on June 20th, as Jeff Swindell took the win.

With the National Tour in the Northwest, chances are high to see a Sooner Region regular in victory lane, but with the Smiley’s Racing Products Lone Star Region off that night before the two regions collide at Lawton Speedway on Saturday, could see a Lone Star invader victorious at “The Creek.”

Also scheduled to return to the quick quarter will be the National Open Wheel 600 Series Restricted and Non-Wing divisions.

After a great showing of 40 Non-Wing micros and 14 Restricted micros the stage is set to be high as the NOW600 Micros make a return back to CCS.

On the last outing on June 20, joined with the ASCS National Tour, Earl McDoulett Jr. was victorious in the NOW600 Non-Wing divison, and Bailey Hughes wheeled her way to victory lane in the NOW600 Restricted division.

Open Wheel Mayhem is scheduled to kick off at 8:00, with Hotlaps at 7:30. Gates open at 4:30.

Adults will be $20, Kids 10-14 $10, Children under 10 Free! Pitpasses will be $30.
