Pursley, Reese, Weger and Kren Prevail in NOW600 Wild Card Opener at Marion County Speedway!

OCALA, Florida (February 6, 2024) - Daison Pursley, Brecken Reese, Braxton Weger and McKenna Kren prevailed in Monday's NOW600 Wild Card Series opener at Marion County Speedway during the inaugural Florida Micro FunFest.

A field of 103 entries were on hand during the NOW600 debut at the bullring featuring 52 Non-Wing Outlaw Micros, 28 Winged Outlaw Micros, 8 Junior Sprints and 15 Restricted Micros.

Daison Pursley topped the Non-Wing Outlaw division after starting fourth on the grid. Cole Dewease crossed in the second spot with Steven Snyder, Jr. finishing on the final step of the podium. Ricky Thorton, Jr. picked up the fourth spot with TJ Smith making up the top five.

Brecken Reese started outside of the front row to run to victory in Winged Outlaw competition. Harley Hollan finished in the second spot. Jeffrey Newell was scored in the third spot with Jett Nunley and Braxton Weger making up the top five.

Braxton Weger bested the field of Restricted entries with Tyler Lupton scored in the second spot. Wyatt Coffey rounded out the podium. Wesley Sweatman from 11th crossed in the fourth spot with Tityn Roberts finishing fifth.

After an eventful trip to Marion County Speedway, McKenna Kren turned the family luck around picking up the Junior Sprint victory. Weston Foster crossed in the second spot with Levi Ballard in third. Fourth went to Grayson Cooksey and Ryder Morris made up the top five.

Action continues on Tuesday night with the second round of the Florida Micro FunFest at Marion County Speedway in Ocala, FL.
