Lucas Oil ASCS and NOW600 set for Thursday night Thunder with Weekly Racing set for Saturday.

Terry Mattox – SAPULPA, Okla. (June 18th, 2013) – Two nights of the best wheel to wheel, door to door racing action is set to take center stage this Thursday and Saturday night at the Creek County Speedway.

On Thursday night the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real “Sizzlin Summer Speedweek” returns to the Creek County Speedway for the first time since 2008. In the nineteenth edition of the always anticipated Speedweek will return to the track were it all began for the American Sprint Car Series. This year’s Speedweek Champion will be taking home the “Bob Westphal Memorial Cup” Trophy.

Come see the best of the best Sprint Car drivers of the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real do battle on the quick quarter, drivers such as: Jason Johnson, Jeff Swindell, Johnny Herrera, Logan Forler, Seth Bergman, Cole Wood, Brad Loyet, Tony Bruce Jr., Dustin Morgan and Brandon Hahn. Plus drivers of the American Bank of Okla. ASCS Sooner Region such as: Matt Covington, Danny Wood, Mike Goodman, Jake Martens, Joe Bob Lee, Layne Himebaugh, Joe Wood Jr., Blake Hahn, Shane Pace, and Koby Barksdale.

Also on the racing card for “Thursday night Thunder” will be the National Open Wheel 600 Series Restricted and Non-Wing micro divisions taking to the quick quarter for the first time this season.

“Thursday night Thunder” is set to start at 8:00, Hotlaps at 7:30 with Gates opening at 4:30.

Come out early and enjoy a steak dinner for $7 along with driver meet and greet from 4:00-6:00.

General Admission: Adults: $20, Kids 10-14: $10, and Children 10 and Under FREE! Pitpasses are $35.

On Saturday night all five division will return to weekly racing action for another edition of the “Weekly Racing Series” featuring: Champ Sprints, Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Dwarf Cars.

Brent Bates currently leads the Champ Sprint point standings, Brett “The Jet” Wilson sits on top of the mighty Modified division points, Josh Jefferies leads the fast and furious Factory Stock division, Jeff Record is out in front of the down and dirty Dwarf Car division, and Daniel Ray Denton sits on the top spot of the Mini Stock division.

On Saturday night, Gates open at 4:30, Hotlaps at 6:30, with racing beginning at 7:00.

General Admission for Saturday night is, Adults: $10, Kids 10-14: $6, Children 10 and Under FREE, Pitpasses will be $30.

Load up the kids, call your mother in law and bring them all out to “The Creek” this Saturday night for the fastest fun around!
